End of August I am headed to my 1st rally in Tenn.! I am so excited!! But I haven't ridden any longer than 3 hrs, so I am unsure of what to expect (it's 520 miles the first day). What will I need clothing wise, extra items...tips? Any input would be great! Thanks!

rain gear. hopefully you wont need the gear, but if it does rain you will be thanking god you have it.
good comfortable boots preferably with a "GoreTex" liner
micro fiber tank tops, t-shirts, and undies. the micro fiber will dry really fast so you can wash it in the sink at your hotel, hang it up and it will be dry in a couple hours. that means you dont have to bring as much with you. plus it wicks the moisture from your body (sweat) you will feel cooler.
good riding glasses, nothing worse than air rushing under you glasses for a few hundred miles.
if you have long hair be sure to put in multiple elastics down you pony tail (keeps the knots down)

And the best thing you can bring..... (true for men and women) Baby wipes!!!!! Sitting on a motor cycle for a few hours at a time can lead to "that not so fresh feeling" put them in a zip lock bag and throw them in your jacket pocket, or an easy to get to spot

Have a good ride, and be safe!!!!

Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki and Suzuki all have intense high quality cruisers which may be outfitted with windshield, bags racks and saddle bags. As for tires, this is probably that throughout long street journeys a tire gets replaced through break particularly than positioned on yet you are able to fairly get 10,000miles on tires.

goggles or a face shield & some light weight leather gloves for when it rains ( always does somewhere along the line ) at least 2 cans or bottles of water or pop, you dehydrate fast when its above 90", a can of slimfast &some granola bars in case you get stuck somewhere with no food, some jolt cola or red bull to stay awake at night ,an aluminum canteen & 3 feet of 1/2 inch plastic tubing in case you run out of gas & need to bum some from another biker a half roll of toilet paper and your ready to go coast to coast. enjoy the trip it wont be your last once you get started.

Saddlebags for sure...
I have a zip-out lining in my leather jacket.
Chaps for the rain.
Power bars and water.
Warm and cold weather gloves. (you won't need the winter ones but it's nice to have a spare set - I tend to loose mine)
Day and night goggles.
Sun screen
Sweat shirt
Leather vest.
Cell phone
First aid kit (with snake bite kit)
Tools, zip ties, bungie cords.

It's pretty hot and humid there this time of year. You may not need your jacket and sweatshirt but it's nice to have them if you need them. Definitely pack water and sunscreen.

Try to leave some room in your bags for stuff you pick up at the rally (if possible)

Have fun and Ride safe

Ride safe!

Acouple of other things in addition to all the great responses above. Take a tool kit. Nothing major, just the main tools that fit your bike. If a metric bike take 10mm, 12mm wrench, pliers, flat and phillips screwdriver, spark plug wrench, small vise grips, allen wrenches. Also a can of "Fix-a-Flat."

In YOUR case you need a bike, bags, plus everything else mentioned here!

Just kidding. I've got the bike covered. Just brings lots of money that way if there is something you forgot to pack you can just buy it along the way!

By the way.....it is 550 miles the first day. And trust me, after 500 miles, that 30 mile difference WILL matter!

Teeth polish, for keeping bug splatter down. Ben Gay, for rubbing your sore butt after a long day of riding. A bigger bladder, so you won't have to stop at every rest stop to empty after all that vibration. Sunscreen for your face. A change-holder for any toll booths.

a long sleeve shirt, for wind burn on arms(if needed), how many days? changes of underclothing, spare shoes, swim suit if public showers, personal hygiene stuff. towel, spare bungee cords. unless you have rain proof bags, pack your gear in multiple trash bags then put them in the travel bags. ... and spare oil and a small toolkit for bike. and a flashlight. take an extra bag for souvenirs.
