My problem is that it is so PC incorrect to make any criticism of Black culture. If one must mouth only praise for this culture, and ignore problem areas, how can there be ANY help or improvement in that?
I separate the Black American culture from individual people. I think Ebonics, the use of the N word, F word, and the general violence in modern Black music, as very detrimental to us ever having a "colorless" society. I feel that ignoring a thousand years of human endeavor, because Black culture chooses to put a white face on it, is really sticking ones head in a hole. I think living in the past, rather than striving, as a group of people, to do the best for today, and working for a productive future, is a waste of energy and only breeds hatefulness.
I think ignoring statistics by Black leaders is counter-productive to "the cause". I think Jackson and Sharpton are promoting the Black status quo because they are both making a fortune playing the blame game.
I'd love to see some good national and international leaders for the Black community. People who will help the helpless in directing them into a more productive way of life. Many Blacks have ALREADY found this, perhaps most lead the same lives as everyone else. Educated people make the same wages in all the middle jobs, but all the general society is aware of are the welfare people, the criminals and the whiners. Black people constitute 12-16% of the population of the USA, but what percentage of welfare and crime??
If you consider all criticism as racism, then you are very much part of the problem. Dumbing down of the American society is not the answer to bringing the poor and needy Blacks into the 21st Century, and into the mainstream American society.

Establish a goal. I think the goal should be equality. That means that Black are also REQUIRED to have equal education and donate to the society equally. I think that granting special privileges so that one group (of 16%) is not offended so easily is bad. I think real help for education is good, and that doesn't mean lowering standards for admittance, but rather educating people so that they qualify for admittance or jobs..

Because nobody likes the ideals, ethics and politics of individualism. Individualism is the only antidote to racism and the political system of individualism is capitalism.

It will never be the right way but you are missing the point. Racism is for fools. What do you expect from fools.

If people post rude questions and/or answers the best thing to do is report them instead of replying and adding on to the fight

Well all I can say is that you reap what you sow sometimes... I generally try to answer questions with the same rationality I'd use if I was face-to-face, though.
