what is the best graphics card for my system. Right now i have a 9600 se and i want to upgrade. I have a p4 3.2 ht, 1 gb of ram, 160 gb sata hdd, 420 watt ps which can be upgraded if needed. My budget is around $180. I want a card that can run like fear and cod2, bf 2142, and cod4 when it comes out on nice graphics settings. thanks

The card draws about 70 watts or 6 amps on the +12V rail.

I'd definitely shoot for the NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GTS. It's got everything you need to play FEAR, COD2 and Battlefield. In fact, with that card you can run games that haven't even come out yet!
Find the $180 one near the bottom of the list, as the more expensive they get, the better the manufacturer gets.
Also, might I suggest upgrading your processor to a Pentium D or Core 2 Duo?

nvidia 760 would be a good bet for your pprice range. its from the begining of the year.. so a little dated. but for your bugdet it will be fine
I highly recomend u make sure u mother board has pcie express and not agp.
also it would boost ur pc if u got 1 gb of ram more. make sure its in duel set up... taht emans 2 512mb sticks.
that should set you up on ur gaming needs.
