97 expedition looks like battery died but the lites on inside flicker with clicking sound when you open door? help

first check for loose battery cable.

A fuse is either open or closed.
If the lights flicker, its not the fuse.
The clicking sound is probably a relay somewhere in the system.
Put a voltmeter meter across the battery terminals.
12.5 V. or better means good charge. (!3.8 is max. for a new battery at full charge).
Not enough info., ... but I'd guess low battery charge.

Sounds like you have a loose wire, possibly one of the battery cables is loose, or you may have had a wire come loose in the car and it is grounding out. i would check the battery connections first.

Why don´t you put another vehicle alongside and try jump starting?
