All games are new. The xbox plays original and burnt movies, but will not even recognize the games. As per the screen message the games are being seen as either a movie or an audio disc or the game disc is unclean. This is happening to my brand new games with no scratches at all.

Have you tried removing the kit? Also, try having your console unplug from the power tinight while you sleep and try it again tomorow, if nothing else helps, then it is your DVD drive, the laser is getting pwned, call microsoft just in case, if nothing helps, then buy a busted xbox from ebay with a good DVD drive, and replace the dvd drive. could be your dvd drive. call xbox support to have it repaired if you still have the one year warranty. if not you can still have it repaired with them for $99. it includes shipping, free 30 days on xbox live and a new year warranty when you get it back. 1-800-4MY-XBOX
