Meetings at work were held during 'office hours' though I was the only person working the night shift and no-one told informed me of company closures and trasnfers to a different location the other side of the country. These talks came to me when I was on a Christmas holiday - I got a call to tell me that everyone had been sent notification per post. When the letter arrived evaluated my position and spoke to all family members and wanted to keep my employment whatever the cost. I replied with I will stay in the company and help where I could in my specialised field and knowledge. At the New Year went back to work only to find that everyone had been fired - and had been given notice to leave the company within the month. I was excluded from the list to leave as I had answered the calls to stay in employment. The company then drafted me out to the other side of the country and I had to install, teach and maintain a level akindled to the current location. Of course when I took up the offer of continuation of work they gave no compensation for travel expenses or change in working hours - all based on the assumption that I wanted to stay in their employment. So, I travelled the 1:30 hours to get to the new location... had to work the full 8:00 hours and travel back home another 1:30! Almost 12 hours away from home and traffic stress then workload and teaching people how to fire me is not the best position to be in. I was in deep trouble as I had to leave the company if I wanted a change..a ploy my own manager took to the outer limits and on every ocassion..the new people had to be trained properly adn get the best out of me as well as the maximum hours. It displeased me to get knocked about by those that had been taught by me and got the meal tickets on my expence and I was left with NOTHING. More fool me?

Whenever I would check my dad's closet and the leather belt (and metal buckle) were missing. But really I would know I was in trouble if my mom wouldn't talk as much and just walk off. That is when I would dread the sound of my dad's truck pulling up the driveway because that would mean my TV was going to be un-plugged and I would get chewed out for the next week.

My first and middle name followed by my mom turning several different shades of red and purple.
For my dad he would just act like he was disappointed and shook his head and gave you a guilt trip till you felt so bad for disappointing him.

For me it's that look on my mom's face when I know I'm about to get into huge trouble for something she found out I did. Have you ever gotten that look before? because if not it's kind of hard to explain... lol :)
