Boston Harbor (aka Rowes Wharf) often has bands or entertainment summer nights, its pretty to just walk around. There are also a lot of harbor cruises at night.

The New England Aquarium is located along the water front. The USS Constitution is not a bad walk, Paul Revere's house is also over that way.

It is easily within walking distance of Quincy Market/Fanueil Hall there are often street performers performing and good shopping. The North End is close if you are interested in Italian Food. Really its a safe great area to walk around especially on a warm summer night.
