Your local newspaper will usually print out the homes/land that will be auctioned off because of delinquent taxes. You can also check with your county courthouse to obtain this information as well.

this information becomes public property. At minimum each county will make this information available for properties that are being sold for delinquent taxes. You can contact the state, counties, and cities to get this info. Or you could fall for the internet scam of promising the ability to buy these homes for little or no money and make thousands in just a few. If it was really that easy why would they sell you a program rather than making the money themselves. The owners in tax sales do have rights too. They have so long to buy back the property.pp

Each county/parish has its own way of providing such information. Some only provide it via newspaper notice, and do not release lists as such.

Bear in mind that, if you buy a property for unpaid taxes, you ALSO buy the other liens, such as a mortgage, against the property. Use caution. You may end up buying yourself a sizeable debt which exceeds the value of what you buy.

If a property is going to be sold for taxes, the local tax assessor's office should be able to tell you. These property locations are also published in the newspaper periodically.
