Are there any other options other than a mediator or lawyer when filing for divorce?

My wife and I are filling for divorce and we have called around to a couple of places and found that even with a mediator it's going to cost upwards of two thousand dollars and I was just wondering if anyone knows of a cheaper way to go about like if maybe health insurance would cover services or something. I'm filing in texas but living in north carolina

But you can typically find the forms you need at your courthouse's website and print them out yourself. If you and your wife can come to an agreement, then it's easier just to do it on your own without a lawyer.
