Background info first: I love chicken but I've learned when I go to the grocery store to read labels very carefully. They must have lawyers design their labels. For instance, you want Tyson's boneless, skinless chicken breasts. It says "all natural", "minimally processed". Then read that fine print--they've added anywhere from 12-15% chicken broth or water. Isn't that just as deceptive if you accept your premise? Sanderson Farms which is not organic, but along those lines (sorry, can't think of the word I want) only adds 2% of water. You can tell the difference of shrinkage when you broil or bake them.

I don't eat McDonald's hamburgers. They're so thin I'm not even sure they're in the bun unless I keep lifting it up to see. I feel like I'm watching for an egg to hatch! As for the chicken meat, if they say chicken breast then it has to be that or it's considered deceptive advertising practices. However, they don't have to say that they add the rib meat. In the nuggets it could be a combination of breast, rib meat, and the wing meat.

Unless you've worked in advertising for McDonald's, or been in product development, or even worked behind their counters, I'd be careful about such strong words as "lie". I'm not saying you're wrong, but today some of these big businesses look for examples criticizing their credibility just for the publicity value of saying they're pure of heart. You may want to use a word like deceptive instead. I see your point, however. It's so frustrating knowing a mega-company is taking advantage of the consumer with their advertising skills. It's like who do you trust anymore when you want to eat out?

ok when they say its 100% beef or white meat from chickens it is. the beef is 100% beef and the chicken in the nuggets are 100% white meat now that doesn't mean it is all the same part of the chicken but it is all white meat not dark meat.and the beef really is beef McDonalds can't say it is inless it is cuz they could be used for false addvertising.

Oh come on NO product is 100% chicken or beef.I go to the supermarket and the chicken nuggets at the supermarket are only 42% chicken,The most I have seen is 53%,the only way to get 100% chicken in a chicken nugget is to make it at home.same with beef burgers.look at the contents when buying supermarket stuff and you'd be more shocked than whats in McDonalds.

How could it be the opposite? If you don't see the meat or chicken in it then you have a major vision problem. Are you quibbling about the percentage or do you think it is not really beef and chicken in those sandwiches? And are your suppositions based on anything real or just a wish to pose an odd question?

they USED to not make their food w/ 100% anything ... they do now, so they can't lie - seems they would, cause their food is crap, still - BUT, because they process the food so much, it's still no good for you, only NOW they're actually using just beef or chicken products (doesn't mean it's the good part of the animal - just PARTS of the animal) instead of by-products.

so in reality, they're not LYING dear, they're just deceptive about it, not telling you the WHOLE truth.
