He is asking for more money because he is expected to be the starter and he was "supposed" to be drafted in the top ten. But due to team needs he was not. But his agent thinks he should get top ten money. I think he should get the money in the place he was drafted. Maybe some performance incentives, or playing time incentives, to give him a bigger check if he does end up starting and is good.
Then let him earn the big bucks.
I think the browns are getting a decent player for the pick. They should not give in and pay him top ten money. I think he is not as good as the hype.(if he was, he would not have ended up 22, team needs or not) Would we have even heard of this guy had he been at Ball State and not Notre Dame???

People will call him a bust because Cleveland isn't that great of a team, unless they improve, that's just how it is. QBs put on bad teams are expected to be saviors of the franchise without any players around them for help...David Carr anyone? Now it has yet to be seen if Carr really isn't that good, but Houston was a horrible franchise for a young QB to be on...Russel in Oakland will likely suffer the same fate and be called a bust.
Does he deserve that much money? NO! He dropped to 22nd in the draft, clearly he shouldn't be paid that much, seeing as how Miami needed a QB at the time and decided to pass for Ted Ginn...a KR at this point...come on, Quinn doesn't deserve a whole lot of money until he proves he's worth it. He said during the draft that he was just happy to be drafted, and look at him holding out now...what a liar...

I don't know if he will be a bust or not. Personally I felt that he was over-rated. Although he has re-written the record books at Notre Dame, his proformance against elite teams was for the most part poor. I think he should take what he can get and prove himself to be worthy later. By holding out for a larger contract he's only raising the expectations on himself.

Personally I don't see what all the hype over this kid is all about. The only games that he excelled in at Notre Dame were the ones played against mediocre teams. Every time he stepped onto the field with an above average team he was picked apart bit by bit.

Quinn and his agent feel that he was a top 10 pick so they want him to be paid like one. Since he was picked 22 by Cleveland they want to pay him like the 22nd pick not like the 5th pick. I do think he is over rated and is looking for big up front money because he knows it also and this will be his only real pay day.

quinn has the chance to be a great player, since cleveland is paying their o-line a ton of money to block for him now and in the future, but he will look like a bust this year, since training camp is where a rookie earns the respect of his teammates, and he does not look like he'll be there for most of it this year. cleveland does have the talent to succed with quinn, but remember, it usually takes a couple years for talent to develop.
Oh yeah ...
Here we go Steelers!!

no way! i mean, he's a super bowl mvp player. he can put them next to his bowl game win trophies...oh wait.
he's asking for too much money. he thinks he should've be paid a 3rd overall contract when he was 20 spots down in the draft. i mean, a multi-million dollar contract isn't enough? so he's asking for even more millions of dollars, when he hasn't even proved himself worthy of it.
under high pressure games he hasn't performed too well, which is a reason why jamarcus russel became the 1st overall pick instead of him. so if he every does lead his game to the playoffs, unless he changes his attitude, he'll just blow a win for his fellow browns.

They are all over paid. I think we should take all our pro athletes and make them do a year long combat tour in Iraq teach them some humility. Overpaid jerk offs ungrateful and blind to the fact they get paid ungodly sums of money to play a freaking game.
