This is going to be on the final exam in my Project Management course. I somehow LOST the bit of homework that this information was contained in. I REALLY don't want to call my professor because a) I don't want him to know i lost my homework, & b) I can't stand the man. So, if anyone happens to know the 9 knowledge areas of Project Management, that would help me a lot!

The Project Management Institute focuses on nine distinct areas requiring project manager knowledge and attention:
1.Project integration management to ensure that the various project elements are effectively coordinated.
2.Project scope management to ensure that all the work required (and only the required work) is included.
3.Project time management to provide an effective project schedule.
4.Project cost management to identify needed resources and maintain budget control.
5.Project quality management to ensure functional requirements are met.
6.Project human resource management to development and effectively employ project personnel.
7.Project communications management to ensure effective internal and external communications.
8.Project risk management to analyze and mitigate potential risks.
9.Project procurement management to obtain necessary resources from external sources.
These nine areas form the basis of the Project Management Institute's certification program for project managers in any industry.

While there are many different versions of the Project Life Cycle, all essentially contain the steps of germination of the idea, proposal and initiation, design and appraisal, mobilization of the team, execution and control, integration of the team and their work, testing, commissioning and handover of the project's product and closeout of the work. Art electives are great to take because they offer a break during the school day from your more stressful academic classes. They're fun and often times you might get free time to finish up any homework you might have to do. As for languages, I would most definitely recommend french. I'm a junior and I have stuck with french all throughout high school. A lot of the words are similiar to english and the language is easier to learn (especially compared to spanish). French is the standard international business language next to English. As an added bonus, its a beautiful sounding language that has a interesting and amazing culture attached to it.
