I personally don't believe in "sellouts". Yeah, there's lots of bands I absolutely love and would be a little disappointed if they got really popular, but if they're still making good music that I enjoy, then I don't care how many other people enjoy it too.
It does bother me when good songs are played in television ads, though. Maybe that, to me, is the defining point of "sellout".

Ummm... I hate saying this but even the bands I absolutely despise I don't think are sellouts. I think if people want to make money doing what they love and playing the music they love as well then who am I to say that there is anything wrong with them. Whatever, it is just my opinion.

first of all, NOT MCRR for all you people who say they are!
but used to think fergie was, because she went from london bridge to big girls don't cry which was soooooo much different. but then i realized: i like differnt types of music, so she probably does too.
i don't know exactly WHO are sellouts, but to me it is when they start thinking of music as a career, instead of a passion

PS... there's a magazine or somethin that said MCR is a sell out, but they aren't... they even said that they'll be changing their sound for a bit cuz if you listen to the same type for a long time, it gets stale, so they'll probably be playin around with sounds a bit...
