We're not taking it to a body shop or anything, but does Autozone have stuff to fix this? Like something to fill in the lines with a paint to go over it? It's a common color and it seems the paint should be easy to find (red Chrysler Sebring).

There is a special new scratch and chip repair kit on the market found at Auto Zone Stores

it is made by 3M it has mini sanding discs for feathering the edges of scratch a primer in it, a glasing putty for filling up deep scratches...

then you buy the correct color of spray or bottle touch up paint it tells you how to apply it correctly and how to follow it up with a clear coat to properly blend it back into the original paint for a professional type repair job...

there are other brands like this too

I searched on the net for the kit I found at Auto Zone By 3M but didn't find it...

I was going to use it to repair the paint on a classic cadillac..

it can be done will cost you about $30.00-$50 bucks total wit correct touch up colo and clear coat

You can go to the dealer and get the exact color touch up paint. However, I seiously doubt if it will look good at all. The only thing to really do is to call the insurnace and turn in the claim. You will have to pay the deductible, most likely but at least the car will look good again.

Sorry it happened, but that is the fix.

duplicolor makes a touch up paint that has a ball point tip
you just have to go over the scratch like you were tracing a line with a pen,you can buy at any parts store or walmart .

You could use the touch up paint but it's going to look crappy. The only fix that will look decent is a professional repair job and that will probably be expensive.

turn it in to your insurance co. as vandalism and they will pay for you to take it to a body shop and have it fixed right.
