They are elected by people. Should an individual be elected or not is a decision to be taken at that time. Of course the constitution should have provision to call back if an elected representative fails discharging his duties.

Pay is one of (many) the strangest parts of the Federal Government.
I think Reps should be paid by their district and their district alone. So if Senators want to get a raise they would have to ask for a raise from the citizens of their state... Reps from their districts through district funds. Only the Judicial and Executive should be on a federal payroll.

Little unknown fact, I think you should know about. Ever wounder why the democraps are always going on and on trying to raise min. wage? If min wage goes up, their pay goes up too. All govt. employees get a raise with a min. wage increase. Hmm..make perfect sense that min. wage is the only thing accomplished in eight months.
