Cylinder head gasket leaking. Stop driving before a hole blows through the cylinder head. Hot spots are created due to the lack of coolant and the metal 'melts' making a hole.
If its just a broken head gasket then make certain the cylinder head is skimmed before refitting.

Concur with Midnite - blown head gasket.
Look at the oil on the dipstick. If it's kind of a creamy color instead of clear amber, this means that you got water (engine coolant) mixed in with the oil. And, that would confirm a blown head gasket.

Pour some HEET water remover into your gas tank. Check your oil and your coolant levels. However I agree with the previous poster about head gasket, you may need an engine rebuild.

white smoke = head gasket.
look in oil cap for light coloured gunge
take to garage immediately or expect a big bill, if caught in time a simple gasket change could work if left too long it will over and cylinder head will warp = new cylinder head or it will need skimed

White smoke generally means you have a crack somewhere that is letting coolant get into the cylinders, and you're burning anti-freeze/coolant.
You have SERIOUS engine problems.

White smoke - water in cylinders (head gasket)
blue grey smoke - oil in cylinders (head gasket, piston rings, big/small end failure)
grey smoke - ok
no smoke - engine dead

It sounds asthough you may be looking at a cylinder head gasket failure, or maybe even a failed cylinder head.
Big wonga. Game over.
