Me and a friend were in Manchester England and we went to The Body Shoppe. The sales clerk never greeted us or offered us any assistance while we in the store( very uncommon in England). She was much too busy chatting with a friend (or co-worker) in the store. Upon leaving I thanked her for her help. Does that count?

Yes, I have thanked my sister several times for being a great sister. Not that she did anything; it was just for being herself.
