I only ask because I want to be one of those, but i've never seen one that's short (Im 16 and 4'10). BE HONEST: Do you think it would look weird, like you're being treated or served by a kid? Thanks for any opinions :)

No it isnt weird. Im sure youll grow a little more. I think it is good that you want to be a doctor. I think you should follow through with whatever you choose to do. It would be inspiring for someone that will later be in the same situation later in life.

Yes I have , I had at least 3 short and tiny doctors in my lifetime
and they were all extremely caring and adorable. I have seen
short and kind've pudgy chefs and they were excellent cooks
and also adorable.
Either way , if you go for it , keep a sense of humor and a spare stepstool around.

There are plenty of short doctors, that's for sure. A lot of them are Asian, but they are of all races. I used to work at a teaching hospital. My own doctor is short, maybe 5'2." I feel I tower over him at 5'8." And lots of women doctors are not so tall. It does not bother me if a professional person is short or tall, what matters to me is how helpful and knowledgeable they are.

My current GP is one of the best doctors I've ever had and he's only a bit over five feet. Size isn't what makes you good.

I have worked with several short Doctors. They were older and male so made no difference.

my sis is a year older than me (20) and she is 4'10 as well, but i look up to her! so to speak...heh :)

i think judging people by their physical appearance is really shallow. i've seen a few short female doctors and i haven't thought anything of them. i'm sure you'd do just fine. anyone who teases you for your height is a loser :)
