any fever is an symptom of something wrong in the body system. but infection is the most probably cause. the kiss could be reason as the germ could simply and easily pass from the boy, or it could be just a coincidence. if the boy is not sick, it may not be. but if his immunity is higher, he may not feel sick though he could have enough germs to make you sick. if you get fever again, you should be diagnosed for any infection. it could be viral or bacterial. bacterial infection is treated with a suitable anti-biotic, where as viral has to go by itself once the virus finishes its cycle in your body. either case, the effect is you will feel weak. take plenty of liquid, vitamin C (citrus fruits)..all out of my experience and I am not a Doctor. good luck.
