So much for evening the playing field on the hosts of the show The View.
It still isn't worth watching....may as well have left Rosie on there.

I think Leeza Gibbons would have been a good choice. She had her own show at one time and I liked her. Guess she wasn't radical enough! Whoopie was good in some of her movies but as a host? I don't know..... when she is substituting, I don't always watch.

I quit watching because of Rosie, but now that Whoopi is going to be on I will start watching again. I think they should have put her in there in the first place.

Yeah..I am disappointed it's Whoopie too...she doesn't fit in with them. I really liked Sherri Sheppard and i was hoping it would be her instead. I think the ratings have gone down since Rosie helped boost them and now she's gone-we'll just have to see how far they go down now.

It's a bad choice. Whoopi is too cutting edge for that show and those annoying yentas. She has to stay PG and PC with that annoying gabfest. Star and Rosie were annoying but better for that show-they brought excitement and controversy to that dull show.

Whoopi is okay she's not going to be as controvesial as Rosie but she'll bring in the big names. Elizabeth is a nobody only the 30% of mental cases who support Bush watch the View for her a-s-s.

Oh, I don't know, I think that Whoppi will put a touch to the show that it needs, e.g. she will keep it going better by imposing more discipline. Barbara tries to do that, but to no avail most of the time. The interesting thing with Whoppi is, she will keep Elisabeth in her place. It's been a long summer with EH trying to keep command instead of just joining in. Oh well....Rosie was great on the show, just got a bad rap. I will watch it, as it takes me away for an hour but keeps me informed on current events and other controversial subjects that maybe you can't talk out with others.

i like whoopi but the view is not her cup of tea. maybe when elizabeth goes, maybe rosie will make a guest appearence. i would rather joan rivers replace rosie. she was on the other day and she was great.

Honestly, I didn't think it was all that great to begin with. I like Regis and Kelly, but I'm out once The View is on. One day I'm going to test my theory that a woman can actually start her period while watching it.

Picking Whoopie, well I guess all I can say is, I just can't see her on there.
That's like seeing Megan Mullally doing a talk show, and you saw how long it lasted. One month.
