Tell her to stop trying to vicariously live her life through you and quit if you want. What is the worse she could do? Punish you? Tell her you need to focus more on academics as your chances of making a career out of being a cheerleader are slim to none.

If she loves you then she'll respect your decision to leave the cheerleading team. If not, she's being selfish. And being on the squad doesn't mean it's good for you. You could be on the ping pong team and it does the same good, if your mom is referring to getting exercise... Otherwise you're just heading into the alcohol/drugs/sex/pregnant crowd...
Just say you hate being around the other girls and you want to quit because you don't find it to be fun anymore.

Cheerleading!
Can b fun! and all but after a few years especially 4 that can burn you out..
Girls on the squad are always catty bitches and back stabbers in the end!
So if your ready to quit... quit now
I did my senior year of high school and I had done it since 6th grade.
Tell her your not her and you've done it for as long as you can take it

You can always try other things like art, Language, music, history, math & politics. My ex-GF was cheerleader too.
I'll one thing I'll say about Cheerleaders. They always lift you when you are feeling down....
Give me an H
Give me an A
Give me a P
Giver me a P
Give me a Y
and what does that spell.....HAPPY =) Yeah...=)
Just kidding...No...seriously..you can try other things in High school or College.
Good luck

just tell her that it's not for you and your dropping out of it.. you are your own person and you should make things in your life the way you need them to be not the way they need them to be.. re-assure her that you want to focus more on your schooling and with cheerleading your not getting alot of time to do that.. it's not like she can make you stay in it.. what is she gonna do put strings on you and make you her little puppet? i don't think so.. she'll get over it... parents shouldn't expect their children to do everything the way they did.. and if they did there would be alot of messed up kids..i wish you nothing but the best.. good luck!

Just quit. Don't waste the best years of your life doing something you don't enjoy. You will never have these years again.
I see Sierra has learned how to Copy & Paste. How rude.

Dont give up on your first love. No matter where you go or what you do, there is always gonna be somebody who will hate on you. If your a star you'll shine no matter what. Also, tell your mom how you feel. She shouldnt make up your life story.

I think life is way too short to do things we don't enjoy - especially what are supposed to be recreational activities. I do think you should talk to your mom and tell her everything you're feeling, but ultimately it's your choice. Be strong and make a decision you are sure of.

you shoul dtell her mom i know you really want me to be in cheerleading but i'm not going to pretend to be something i'm not i can't live out your dreams, but be tactful when you tell her and when it comes to the other girls if you decide to stay in cheerleading tell them to back off if they don't have the guts to talk to your brother themselves then they should find someone to drool over. hope you the best

there's no point in doing something you dont enjoy with petty girls, you should try to tell your mom that. instead of cheering, get involved in something else at your school (another sport, music, clubs). hopefully your mom will understand your doing something that makes you happy and she will support you. you only live life once so you should spend it doing things you enjoy.
