Yes and no. They (miraculously) let us set up shop in their territory when we first invaded Iraq. Since then, they have become more and more bitter about this move, since the war in Iraq is going nowhere. Think about it this way - the chaos that the US military might cause in the middle east will be directly in front of Saudi Arabia when we leave, leaving them to clean it all up.

because they have supported us for years, they let us keep our troops there

It does not mean anything that Saudis are backing terrorists, there are Americans backing terrorists. The Saudi government has done what we asked of them we can expect nothing more from our allies.
