Racism is ugly and unnecessary. I condemn it no matter who it comes from. However we should also be condemning those who use claims of racism in an attempt to discredit some legitimate concerns of society (i.e. those who would argue that if you are against illegal immigration that you are a racist).

I don't appreciate racists of any sort. I do understand where prejudice and anger comes from, because let's face it, you may deal with a certain race and have only so many negative experiences before you begin to feel angry or bitter towards that race/ethnicity/group. Everyone has PREJUDICE in them, but those who keep going on to breed hate are on a whole different level. Those people, the KKK, Aryans, New Black Panthers, any of them, should be kept away from society and away from decent hard working people of all colors.

Well, I have come to learn thru the years that HATE BEGETS HATE, so if I'd have to discredit racists it would pretty much most but the ones who began the hate for no real reason at all, just only to promote hate and unequality.
I can see throughout the years of my life that some racist are justifyably hated by those that they have hated for so long without any substantiation for their bigoted hate in the first place.
Trust..

The word "racism" has become nothing more than another meaningless word and is hurled around at the slightest perceived opportunity. I'll not go so far as to say I "hate" people who are racist, but I do disagree strongly with their attitude regarding matters of race. My personal philosophy dictates that ALL people should be treated with respect, honesty, and fairness. My dad, a sharecropper in his day, demanded it of me from the earliest time I can remember.
PS: I read your profile and appreciate your career path. Thank you for being a Christian, a Marine, and a teacher. Good man!

Racism in general. I have seen people be racists of their own race even. None of it makes sense in this day and age. All it does is distance us from each other for no good reason, and fight a never ending battle with no positive result.
'Those who seem wise among the foolish, among the wise seem foolish'. This is a perfect example how to explain what racist people REALLY are.
Racists are the fools who think they are wise but they are only seeming that way (and are lying to themselves to believe it is right) because they are believed to be so by other fools who think like them. People like you and others who know that racism does no good, are the wise who see them as the fools.
I think it's time for everyone to wise up.

In my experience, the subject of discrediting all racists has certain impact in social demography because they do have traumatic experiences themselves. Invariably, they developed into a society who are so protective against other culture and religions. It takes courage to break the ice, sometimes a simple trick can do the job like outwitting them.

I discredit the ones who started the hate in the 1st place.
You can only take so much before you get mad & start to defend yourself. I don't think that makes you racist, I think that makes you angry.
You can sit there & let someone keep slapping you in the face while you turn the other cheek, but if they keep slapping you, sooner or later they're going to strike a nerve & you're going to defend yourself! You're going to get angry...that's just reality.

Sometimes I get so discouraged with the way people treat each other that I could consider myself racist against the human race. That's the only race there is.
God Bless.

I make it very clear on my 360 profile and my YA profile summary that I do not tolerate hatred or intolerance for any reason. That includes comments regarding racial or cultural divisions or any inflammatory comments contrary to normal standards of civility. No man or woman should be subjected to slander, hateful comments, intolerance, harrassment, or any negativity towards others, unless they espouse hatred. Also, if any comments are posted which slander anyone of my friends or loved ones, or anyone else due to race, nationality, or cultural differences, their names will be posted on my blogs, and I will report them as abuse violations. I will defend everyones' rights to state an opinion, in a civil way, but I will also defend my right to fight racism & intolerance at every level of my life.

A racist is a racist...it doesn't matter much if they are of my race or of another race. I do my best to ignore them all.
