All decades have some great songs and singers
but without a doubt the swinging sixties are by far and away the most productive of great music and songwriters
Elvis The Beatles The Stones Tam la Motown to name but a few,I think most people enjoy the music of there youth so if you grew up in the sixties then that's the decade you would pick.

I like the 70's the best. It had a nice selection of disco & actual good rock. Like Led Zepplin, The Rolling Stones, Guess Who, Lynyrd Skynyrd, & all kinds more. I'm not big on the 60's, some of it was ok like the really psychedelic sounding stuff but some it was really just too pop sounding for my taste. The 80's had some really catchy tunes that I liked but most of the 80's in my opinion I couldn't stand. I didn't like a lot of the music, clothes, hairstyles, everything was just really weird & ugly to me. The early & mid 90's were alright. You had some Nirvana & Sublime which really rocked but once that decade started to fade, so did music in my opinion. I think music today is absolute garbage.

I like music from the '20s through the '80s equally. The '90s is when mainstream music started losing me. There are still a few things I like, but not much. The '00s have been even worse.

certainly one of those question sucks for each individual who's in any respect into music. finding out on a "popular" album for any given DAY is impossible, no longer to show a decade. i will in basic terms provide you the respond for this actual minute: 60's: The Beatles "Abbey highway" 70's: David Bowie "Ziggy Stardust" 80's: Judas Priest "British steel" ninety's: Nirvana "Nevermind"

30's and 40's. Without a doubt !
Go listen to Fats Waller or Louis Armstrong.
These guys really knew what they were doing......
Everything got watered down after that with a few exceptions, and noughties ? Well its all paper thin in my estimation.

80's for me. So many good bands came around that time. I'm not saying the other decades weren't good, though. There were great bands in all the decades.
80's for me, though.
