She should put on a clear coat of nail polish. When she gets the urge to bite she can bite the polish off instead. This should help. If it doesn't then you have to go to the hot pepper approach. She has to dip her nails in pepper juice.

What helped me was always having nail polish on. When you have it on and go to bite your nails you get a bad taste in your mouth, and after a couple times i stopped so ii wouldnt get that taste.

Nail polish remover on your nails daly for 2 weeks thats how long it takes to stop a habit

You can get her to wear nail polish or enamel. With that on her nails, they will look to good to bite them ^^. And think how good they will look if she grows out her nails? (Unless she is a tomboy).
Or try getting her some inspiration -- like for my friend she likes an idol whose nails are always perfect with designs, so she was motivated to get hers like them and she stopped.

Put a bad tasting nail polish on your nails so they won't taste good also set up rewards for yourself when you go so long w/o chewing on your nails.

THERE IS A NAIL POLISH THAT IF YOU PUT ON IT MAKES YOUR NAILS TAST REALY REALY BAD I HAD THE SAME POBLEME I USED THE NAIL POLISH AND I NEVER BIT MY NAILS AGAIN

Have her pick up dog poop and dont let her wash her hands. If that doesn't stop her nothing will.

you usually have to stop on your own or soak them in vinager so when they bit their nail it will taste nasty.
