It actually is. When we go to sleep in this world, how do we know that we aren't actually waking up in another one? Or maybe this wwhole reality is one dream. Even if it's not, it still is subject to individual's perception of it. Esse est percipi.

The matrix is absolutely spot on, metaphorically. There isn't an innerworld of steel corridors with unseen individuals. They are in the real world and they are laughing at us, because no matter what they do, the masses just continue to believe the rubbish that they spew out with their mind controlling media network. Even the matrix film is probably just their way of showing that no matter what they do, the masses will never see what's happening right in front of their faces.

Only if many of the technical and functional problem were taken care of... such as humans don't/can't produce more energy in any form than they consume... mechanical and chemical energy dispersion of every kind would eat up on the systems cycle! So, eventually, even if they feed the dead to the living as a nutrition soup together with minerals and gasses from nature it would run out pretty fast no matter how efficient all the other processes out of the human body were!!! And if machines solve that... why would they need the trouble of fooling us anyways???

i always thought it could be possible, its just the feeling of being in a dream throughout your entire life. Awaking is being reborn and all that jazz. The whole Matrix storyline is far fetched but the essential plot of waking up to your real reality is what feel could be true. Good Question!

Yes it is an example that to get out of this material world (illusion) we need a Pure Guru who know the way. It is a fact. We can not do it on our own. That is the way to self realization and to the world of reality. For info Read Bhagavad Gita as it is By Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada (he is a pure bonafide spiritual master who is authorized by God to show the way Back to The eternal Absolute World. asitis.com You can read it on line. It is so sublime. also see the DVD The trueman Show with Jim Carry shows similar understanding.

Well, the idea that machines would use us for as an energy source is absurd.

The idea that reality might be virtual is completely possible.

JFTR. Philosophers are divided into Empiricists (Reality is Objective) and Rationalists (Reality is in the mind.). The Rationalists are on the same page as the virtual guys. (Reality is in the mind of God who might just be a big computer.)

Just to put this in perspective. If Jesus says "Your faith can move mountains." how is that different from Neo knowing gun racks will appear if he just believes.

It is true. Reality mirrors the programmed contents of consciousness until you develop the ability to OBSERVE the consequences of your learned ego's thought system.

Patterns in our experience of reality tend to repeat according to early imprinted beliefs about self and the world. Reality is a kind of hologram, in that we only perceive what we have learned to believe is true.

Theology is about transcending the program, waking, remembering/returning to (rebirth/resurrection) of the authentic Self so that Reality can synchronize with your essential nature.

No, if only that the human body doesn't convert food to energy 100% efficiently. Any energy production system would be better just to cut out the middle man (pun intended).

I think it is, but not like in the movie. More like following frequencies. Sound waves to alter our thinking patterns. Like subliminal messages. And when we do not comply we are attacked. ooooh that could be a cool movie. I want my %.
