In all probability the chances of the loch ness monster existing are slim to none.

First, if creatures existed in the loch you could expect there to have been all sorts of stories and legends made about them by people hundreds of years ago. Accounts of there being a monster, however, do not tend to appear until the mid 1900's.

You could also expect, over all the centuries, a carcass to have washed up on the shore. Again, no such thing.

Furthermore, dozens of creatures would be required to maintain a viable breeding population. If we estimate 50 creatures for a viable breeding population, and divide the lochs volume, that leaves about 5,219 cubic feet per creature. In other words, for every mile or so you went through, you should be bumping into another creature. Add to this that most dominant predators in an ecosystem have a territory of around 100 miles and you're left with not much of a chance for Loch Ness Monsters to be dwelling in the Loch.

Bigfoot is ever so slightly more reasonable, but I would not hang any hopes on it

Hope this rambling made sense - I'm quite tired and going mostly from memory here....

I dont know if I believe in Big foot so much because of the fact he is above land and no one has been able to capture him or study him. I do belive that the lochness monster is very possible because of the fact in an ocean body of water the water may get very deep and there is lots of room to hide there fore it would be harder to find the lochness monster unless it wanted to be found. I think there are many things in the ocean that have yet to be discovered. I think some other topics to talk about would be aliens, and undiscovered plant life. and a great discussion on mythylogical monsters and charectars.

Nope. A Bigfoot skeleton, carcass, tooth, or hair follicle would have been found by now. The Loch Ness monster is even more unlikely. Just local myth/folklore.

I believe in the possibilities that creatures such as this exist. I also think that getting the proof would be extremely difficult as creatures such as this have so far survived by knowing how to remain hidden.

I don't know that I really believe in either of them, but I won't say that they couldn't be true. People thought the megamouth shark was extinct for years, then they found them... that's a really big shark to not be sighted for all that time.

I believe in both. If there are bugs that eat birds and naked rats underground why cant there be a creature in a lake and a big monkey in the forest. (I also believe in El Chupacabra. Hes my favorite)

yes but i don't think we shod bother to look for proof because then ppl will want to hunt them just to kill them and hang there head over a fire place then they will be all gone
