I down right loathe edititing errors in movies, or gaping holes in storyline, and even continuity errors, like different color shirts or being in different positions between cuts.

That was the only unrealistic thing you saw in Live Free or Die Hard. I'm not sure anything in that movie is physically possibly but it was cool to watch.

TV/Movie time does not apply to real life. Every Dragon Ball Z fan knows this as a fact. A character will say that the planet has 5 minutes before it explodes and that turns into 17 episodes. lol

Movie time does not obey the same rules as reality. It's not an error, it's "creative license"!
