Don't Ask, Don't Tell works the same in the Marines as all the other branches of the military.
Keep your sexuality too you and you might get in. The marines are tough and they don't want a bunch of wimps.

The marines don't accept "out" homosexuals. However, I was in the navy during the 70's and believe me there were plenty of gay marines around. Those were the days!

There is a "Don't Ask Don't Tell" policy which doesn't seem to work very well. I have a few friends who are serving or have served in the military and as far as they know, it depends on the situation. The "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy actually creates more of a problem for active servicemen with spouses.

yes. there are a lot of gay marines and openly gay marines serving already. nobody cares. the media likes to sensationalize this issue because - well, it's gossipy. i have read stories about them in out and advocate magazine.
