I don't think so... He has tried many times and can't crack the primary. He is also from a very small congressional district and state... winning big-state candidates usually carry a big wave from their home states.

Like you, I like Joe Biden a lot, but I don't think he will get the nomination because he hasn't been able to raise as much money as it will take. If people want to back him they need to send him money. It's sad, but that's what it takes.

I don't think he will or should i say could get the nomination but I personally would love to see him as V.P. He's impressed me every time I've heard him speak.
