however many each and every person is asserting “neither”, I’ll attempt to answer. My political critiques aside, offering Saudi Arabia with hands would be a miles extra amiable decision than the latter. pondering the Saudis are rather close with the Bush administration and provided that the U. S. would be taking advantage of the earnings, it may be a extra useful decision. it is likewise significant to bear in suggestions that the terrorists in contact in 9/11 did no longer have any impermeable ties with the Saudi administration, so connecting the two is a susceptible argument. Bombing Mecca would be like nuking Rome with a view to wipe out the Vatican city. the certainly terrorists that threaten u . s . a . of america are a small sect, and Mecca is first and top a place of non secular piousness. Lumping up all Muslims into one stereotype is ignorant. to no longer point out mass homicide often is the merely proper hypocrisy after 9/11.

Considering that 15 of the 19 people who carried out the 911 attacks were Saudi and that the military estimates about 45% of the insurgents in Iraq are Saudi, I think should raise some red flags. Also they are not just selling the Saudi arms but the so called 'smart bomb' technology. The US is the largest arms dealer in the world so we'll do it anyway regardless of the future consequences.

Since most of those arms will eventually find their way into Iraq and in the hands of Saudi Sunni insurgents, I think it is a very profitable way for Bush/Cheney to prolong their bloodbath in Iraq.

Bad idea, Saudi Arabia has not shown any indication that it is a friend of the US. It is chummy with the bushes, so I guess that figures, I wonder if dad is getting a commission.

I think it's a really bad idea, considering that the majority of the 9/11 hijackers were Saudis and it's entirely possible that our own weapons could one day be used against us. But, Bush is a favorite of the Saudi royal family, and he loves 'em right back and pretty much does whatever they want him to.

even though we are selling to Saudi and Israel.. it's a bad idea.. when they have such an edge on Iran, the Iranian government will spin this into an excuse to advance their nuclear program... all we are doing is adding excuses and fuel to the fire.

Not to mention the fact that we are flooding an area prone to produce terrorists with arms and munitions... yeah that's bright...

A real stupid career decision by the government. All that money and all those arms--?

It's going to go right into the hands of the Sunni-led insurgency.

don't worry , by selling US arms to Saudi Arabia, USA will earn $s , but the arms will not be useful for Saudi Arabia.

I think we are doing what we have always been doing. The difference is that Americans are sensitive to international issues now!
I think we are triggering an arms race.
I think the Tehran Mullahs would push harder for NUKES- it strenghtens Tehran hardliners.

The Saudis are too stupid and lazy to use them anyway and the weapons will just rust in the desert sands.
Plus no matter how much arms you give them, Iran will annihilate them in a few days.
