systems, let's just go with the premise that GOD is everywhere
and in everything....besides which, God is not a tangible object...
not to shut out atheists..I would like them to respond as well... this is not a religious question...so please refrain from the GOD debate...Go back to the top of the question.....for me, it's a no-brainer......
WORDS & MUSIC
how about you? Surprise me with your prime motivator...what propels you into action?

I believe we all have an innate programming and that is our unconscious motivator.
What out conscious MIND tell us is that we have awareness and a semblance of control over our own well thought out "motivations", be it money, glory and love, all previously discussed endlessly by philosophers and bards.
I think I started with love, a respect for mankind and pretty much all lifeforms, an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and understanding, then metamophosing into a probable "glory"- for lack of another word to describe "how to leave any place I have been to, a bit better than it was when came".
Dont we all do that? Yes, we are all like that in our conscious minds.
Now for your actual question- what drives you to do things such as work and excel and perform to the best of your ability? you really want to know?
Too many to list down.

God is not an object for motivation because of the fact that you don't get a reward until you die. That by self is not a big motivator.
For me personally I'm very competitive so every day is a challenge to do something a little better. Whether that be by completing a goal or making more money. Every day is just a little bit different so I always look forward to what new experience the day will bring. Just plainly the curiosity of the un-known is a huge determining factor in my motivation.

I am my own source of motivation. Poor family situation and a lack of understanding and support sort of put me in that situation. And I have had a 4.0 for over two years and I got into my first choice of college. I'd like to say can I rely on others but I have to really want something in order to achieve it and I think that is true of almost everyone.
And, no, God does not motivate me at all.

I am primarily motivated by a little blue primate named moley
who terrorizes my vegetable garden, and compromises Granny
Crabtree's sex drive, she's always so disappointed in me for not catching and killing it.
We live close to the US/Mexico border, and I think moley has seen too many TV news reports about people digging tunnels to get over the border, coz my garden's subterranean
layer is nothing but a maze of tunnels. Then rabbits use those tunnels to git my carrots, and that is just SAD!
The conflict is that is I ever DO catch and kill moley,
I'm worried I'll no longer have any motivation to get out of bed;
maybe that'll be coz of Granny Crabtree!

If there is a reward of any sort, for example:
studying = good marks
cleaning the house = being able to sit down with a book afterwards plus having a clean house (obviously)
going to the gym = can tell everyone what an active sportswoman I am ;)
etc.

An underlying principle unheeded and not enacted ever prompts the Prime Motivator.
I will stop short of engaging the esoterical here, and for sake of staying the course on the practical, but of your "WORDS & MUSIC," I will just say, these two are an excellent prime motivator. Much lies beneath these two great forces.

If i'm being pedantic, she is robust interior the rawest sense of the term "beneficial motivator". while you're hungry, you will attempt to alleviate that situation. i'm beneficial that there are not a extensive share of ravenous babies on American streets, yet to rule out a software including this (which has beneficial intentions) is slightly extreme in my view

I challenge the phrasing of the question -- my Prime Motivator is NOT tangible.
Rather, it is an internal understanding that is difficult to put into words

my future movie theater! Everything i do is based on that. I will own my own movie theater in the future and I don't want anything right now to get in the way. I have music that I listen too as well that helps me keep that in mind. I'm very focused.

What gets me out of bed every day is the hope of a better future. I mean, i don't hate my life, but there is so much i want to do with my life, but you just can't hop on to the future, you gotta work for what you want!!
And definately music!! I wake up with music and go to bed with music!!
