Who committed the 9-11 attacks on the World Trade Centers?

I ask this question because many Americans still believe Saddam Hussein was responsible, and believe that that is the reason our country is in Iraq. I'm glad to see nobody posted his name as an answer :)

I have never heard a single person say that Saddam was responsible for the planning and execution of 9/11. Yes, he did allow terrorists to train within Iraq, but nobody has said he had anything to do with the specific attacks on 9/11.

Saudi Arabia? Sure shows what you know...... First of all Osama is banished from Saudi Arabia, he was banished before 9/11. He went over to Afganistan to fight Russia and became some religious figure after the war. This is where he preached false Islamic teachings and rasied hate towards westren countries and towards Jews. While he was over there he got some training camps going. Actually what people don't know is the CIA has had a contract on his head before 9/11.

Taliban operations are out of Afghanistan that is why we are there. Taliban claimed 9/11 attacks not Al'Qaida they too have hated the western states but didn't do 9/11 instead attacks on USS Cole and the Marine barracks in Sudia Arabia.

As for Iraq well, that is supposedly nothing to do with 9/11 just to stop Iraq from developing or requring WMD's which was a ban set by the UN. They (US and British) did try to say it was a haven for Al Qaida which is a claim that seems not to be true. Their over in Iraq now but they came to it to attack American troops.

The only reason Saudi Arabia even comes up is the guys who did 9/11 are of Saudi decent and caught a ride from there to America.

Oh we don't know who did this? Gee I taught Taliban claims on video was enough. I'm sure America government had this great idea to destory it's ecomeny just to go to Afgahistan! They first had to persuaded Osama to take the heat for this so they could have him hunted down like a dog. How could anyone refuse such a offer?

EDIT* Where is Osama now? Some say he is in Pakistan protected by it's citizens which protects him. Our Pakistani allies can't hand him over or allow us to go in by force.

I don't understand why there are so many idiotic conspiracy theories surrounding 9/11.
The ONLY people responsible for this attack are the INSANE terrorists who committed this atrocity under the false guise of religion. It was pure insanity directed at INNOCENT CIVILIANS, and was nothing short of terrorism and mass murder. Why people try to pin this on the US government or anyone else baffles my mind, and makes me worry about the state of intelligence our citizens here.
The terrorists were on surveilance cameras for God's sake.
There is a clear paper trail of where these people were and what they did before the attacks.
The flight recording from United 93 has the terrorists speaking in Arabic, and shouting "Allah Akbhar!" before they nose-dived the plane into the ground in PA.
The living people on the plane described the attackers as arabs before they died.
Al Queda has admitted that they were behind it.

This is the problem with our society today...we have become so complacent and accepting and liberal and PC, that we are willing and eager to turn a blind eye to the indisputable truth in order to create a false enemy in the government and thereby giving strength to the true danger, and that is Islamic Fanaticism.

Any other belief is just denying the truth, and an open door to another atrocity on our soil.

I saw the jets fly into the Trade Center. I saw the Towers fall. It was NO IMPLOSION.

Some say that Jet fuel does not burn hot enough to melt steel… while this IS true, it is hot enough to reduce the tensile strength of the steel to cause the collapse that everyone saw. With all that weight, once it started, it was unstoppable.

You can also put a slight amount of blame on the Bill Clinton presidency for putting up the wall that did not allow our intelligence agencies to share information as well as his budget cuts on the departments responsible for our self-defense.

Everyone knows about the hijackers, and that most carried Saudi passports. What is not known is if the passports were legitimately issued, and if they really reflected the true identities and nationalities of those involved.

Ask Al-Quaida. They claimed responsibility and vow more such attacks in the future.

It was 19 hijackers who were chosen and trained by Al-Quida, and hate non-Arab involvement in the Middle East and feel the U.S. should pay for the 1991 Persian Gulf War and its continuing presence there since.

2 weeks before 9-11 the owner of the towers got a 15 billion $ policy on them...how convenient...hhhmm?
