How many guppies or other small tropical fish can I keep in a 30 litre tank?

you have 6.6UK Gal which would hold about 6" of fish which would be 3 guppies as they reach an adult size of about 2"

You could have more but it depends on the dimensions of the tank and the surface area of the water, also the type of filter you will be using will have an impact on the number of fish you can have.

That's about a 8us gallon tank
So you could actually go with the following
If you like a betta you can put one in there
3 male guppies ( if you go with a betta then no male guppies)
6 zebra danios (schooling fish)
2 cory cats like pepper corys (bottom feeder)

If you choose all males you won't have to worry about fry

And there are many more tropicals to choose from, the above is an example of the numbers
balloon mollies,neons, any kind of platies

Not many but it depends on the surface area of the tank and the type of filtration and airation you are using more than the volume of water.

Basically, aim for about 2 square inches of surface area for every inch of tropical fish length.

The number can be increased if you have sufficient airation. but bear in mind that air pumps can break and that guppies breed like the proverbial rabbits.
