We have two cell phones and a wireless internet adapter through Sprint. We just moved and can no longer get any service where we live. They keep telling us it's our problem, but we should not have to choose where to live based on cell phone coverage. We're in the middle of a freaking city, in the largest metro area in the state.
They have tried all sorts of things, updates, new batteries, antennas, even messing with the towers. When we get anything it's roaming.
So since we can't use the crap we're paying almost $150 for, how can we get out of the contract?

It's ridiculous that we should have to pay to leave and our service when they're the ones not following through.
And we HAVE called customer service, at least once a week for the past two months. In fact, the majority of our dropped calls have been with them.

Call Sprint customer service daily on both cells for stupid questions, Sprint has been ending contracts for "high maintenance" customers. It does cost quite a bit to take care of customers and if you start calling often it will soon become too expensive to cater to you and they will end your contract.

You pretty much have two choices. Break the contract which costs $150 to $250, but if your paying $150 now, then it would be worth it to break it. Or you can wait until your contract is up and go to another carrier.
You should go to this web site www.tiffanyvague.acnrep.com or call (805) 343-7010 I purchased a phone through this company from seeing an answer on Yahoo and I got the best darn deal I've ever seen! I got a free phone (that would of cost me a couple hundred dollars in the store) and got on a really good plan! I'm paying less then $40 They just basically asked me a couple questions went over a few phones that I liked and how many minutes I wanted. Coverage area etc. I received the phone within 3 days. All the major cellular phone companies you can get going through them. It will save you money and time searching! Give them a call!

If you have a contract then you have the documents necessary to close the deal - read the fine small print - failing that, check the providers website for details on changing to a different provider - these usually do not charge for swapping over nor breaking breech of contract - the new provider will inform you the best course of action, if you ask them.
If you should move out of the providers regions then you should be able to get a 'change of address' forms from them.
Any mobile providers service desk can give you this information - though - you must ask for it. There is no charge on asking more information.

Document the times you get a roaming connection with some satellite instead of your provider. Write them down .Write down your numerous phone calls to complain about the lack of coverage.
It is possible that you are talking with someone who doesnt know squat. Make sure that you are talking to the technical people or the supervisors.
Fax and copy yourself these messages.
As for your previous complaints and attempts by the company to fix the problem, document those too. Dates, times, person yoy talked to etc.
Document any successful connections.
You attempt to be escape the contract due to failure of the company to provide adequate coverage may be legal since you are paying for a guarranteed service in exchange for money.
No service- therefore means no money, what ae you paying for?
Document all of the company's attempts to fix the wireless connections. Make sure you have names dates and times.
Call or write your states telecommunication regulatory board for advice.

i had this same problem. look on sprints coverage map and see if theres any coverage where you live. if not, the best thing to do is demand to speak to retentions. tell them what i did:
"i moved and i get no service for atleast 10 miles around my house, not even roaming. id like to stay with sprint, but why should i pay you guys for a service you cant even provide for me?"
that should work. and if it doesnt. wait a month and have one of your friends call sprint and tell em you died. if they ask for a death certificate, get mad and start swearing and just be as difficult as possible. a bit morbid, but it works.

If you have proof that you have a lot of dropped calls, most contracts will let you out (I had the same trouble with verizon whenever I moved, and they let me out of the contract without any fees). If a customer rep is giving you a hard time, ask to speak to their manager (who may have more power when it comes to waiving fees). Also try contacting them online or through the mail.

there is not much you can do cause they put fine print in the contracts that they do not guarntee coverage everywhere. you can call customer service and ask for a manager and see if they can wave or lessen the fees, but its going top be an uphill fight.

Call Sprint customer service over and over again. They'll drop you sooner or later.
