The fridge is empty, the feed bin is full.
The mailbox is stuffed with horse catalogs.
Your belt is a throat strap from a bridle.
The "art" on your wall is tack.
Your credit card has a picture of your horse.
You screen name is made up of your horse's names [Ibbi and Bud].
You tell your dog to "WHOA!", your children to "WHOA!", your spouse to "WHOA!", your horse to "Stop now, okay?"
Your boots are half duct tape, your horse wears hundred dollar customs.

You might be a horse nut if:

1. You see a bridle and lead chain under your Christmas tree with your name on it.
2. You learned the hard way that leather needs neadsfoot oil.
3. Your parents have been known to go get hay and feed in a snowstorm and they don't even ride horses.
4. You braid your horses mane and tail, but have no idea how to help your little sister with her hair.'
5 You don't mind using a special comb to remove bot fly eggs from the horses coat.

it is likely something has happened in the Field to scare her. she will be fine trotting in hand because she can see you, and feels safe. but as soon as you are out of sight, even though you are just on her back, she will feel frightened that whatever spooked her a while ago will come back (even if it was just a plastic bag flying around with some ponies, but this sounds like it was more scary) this is how horse's mind's work. so the best thing to do would be to try lunging her, tacked up, in the field a few times, at different gaits. then get someone to lunge her while you ride her etc until she gets used to it. she should be back to normal in no time! good luck!

When you go by a golf coarse, you wonder when they will bale the hay.
You know of a grocery store that sales 50 pound bags of carrots and I'll take a BIG canister of oaks with that.

How Fun!!!

You might be a horse nut if....

You win a snazzy new sports car but would trade it for a pickup truck with a towing package

Your paycheck barely covers your food bill but all your horses eat premium food

All the other girls were designing their dream home, you was designing your dream barn

You spend far more on your riding clothes than on the rest of your wardrobe

You call the vet when a horse just looks crossed eyed but a family member has to be on their death bed before you take them to see a doctor

If you comment every time you see a misbehaving child running in a store wildly "My two week old colt has better manners than that ladys five year old child!"

If you spend all year keeping your horse's spots and feather white for a show and have to fight tangles in your hair before the show.

your horses "clothes" cost more then yours!

You get up at FIVE AM to go clean up horse crap that you know there will be more of by this afternoon!

You go into labor but refuse to go to the hospital until after you've fed.

The more you get to know your co-workers the more you like your horses.

every holiday your horse gets more gifts than you do.

Your horses Christmas gifts are more expensive then your family's.

the feed store is your Walmart.
