I mean, whats the point... people understand you QUICKER if you type normally. So you wouldn't have to repeat it or explain what you said.
Am I the only person who thinks this?

Bleah. I hate text-ese. For chat, IM and online games, it may be OK because you aren't a fast typer, or can't really take the time to say "I say, could you assist me? I seem to have an angry orc beating me over the head with his +10 cudgel of pain" ;-)
But for message boards (like this) and email, I wish folks would type in normal sentences. I've seen some questions here in text-ese where I can't even be sure if it was English that was being used, much less what the question is supposed to be.
