Hi. I'm a 16 yr old living in Shreveport, Louisiana. About 2 months ago, my father got a job opportunity in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The only thing was that we all had to move down there. When I say all, I mean, myself, my dad, and my stepmom. I didn't want to do it. I've lived in Shreveport all my life and I didn't want to move 4 hours away to live in a busy city that I don't like. Over the past 2 months, I've so far been doing everything in my power to try to stay in Shreveport, but so far nothing worked. My dad came to the conclusion that the only way I'd get to stay in Shreveport is to live with my mom. My mother lives in a 1 bedroom apartment with my stepdad in Shreveport. They are a very happy and stable couple, but my mom said that she didn't have much room for me. About a week ago, I was talking to my neighbor, who said that at 16, I can decide which parent to live with, no matter what either of them say. I just wanted to know if this is true. If not, what can I do at age 16? :(
