one of those small gold-coloured drawing pins stuck in the sole of your shoe, then as you walked along, wondered what that strange clicking noise was?

yeah, but it was actually directly in my foot, and the clicking which i then realised was the pin on the wooden floor... and the pain... ouch

Yes, i used to stick them in my shoes too so i sounded like i was wearing my mums shoes (years ago i may add)
Also had one in my big toe!! Jeez does that hurt, i wouldn't recommend it

At school we used to stick them in the toes and heels of our shoes so we had 'tap shoes'!
