I fly all over the world in a private jet to warn people about global warming, then I go home to my mansion and turn on the air conditioner. Oh, wait that's not me, that's Gore.

I dont have a Car and I Cycle everywhere. I do my Grocery Shopping by Bicycle, I have two Saddle Bags on my Bike and the Supermarket is about two Kilometres away. I either Cycle into the City or take the Bus which is about six Kilometres away or Three Miles. I recycle my Cans ,Bottles, Paper and Cardboard, and Plastic Bottles and Tetra Pack Milk Cartons. I Recycle my Old Clothes either to Charity like Oxfam Shops or St Vincent De Paul Charity Shops or Recycle Bins in Supermarket. This is the position now all over Ireland People are Recycling It is not unusual for anyone. A lot of People are Composting there Vegetable Waste as well.

I shop second hand, recycle, take showers rather than baths. Wash clothes in cool water and at night. keep the lights off, only use a fan/air conditioner if need be, burn wood in winter, grow a garden, plant trees-wow, I'm pretty green huh?! Oh, and I don't smoke. carpool and or multitask a trip.

My personal carbon footprint is quite big, as I drive a full-sized pickup truck. (I have to, or I couldn't drive--I was nearly killed in a small car, and I can be in one for short trips, but if I had to drive one, I would be housebound--I can only drive a big vehicle because it's the only way I feel safe enough to venture out of the house). I try to make up for it in other ways.
--I recycle the stuff that can be recycled in our area. (Oddly, there is no where anywhere near our area that recycles glass, and that's a shame, as it's easy to recycle.)
--I am careful about conserving electricity and water.
--I don't use grocery bags from the grocery store, or other stores for that matter, and instead carry bags in various sizes in my truck for my purchases, or simply carry the items and the receipt, and don't take a bag.
--I try to consolidate all my errands so I only have to actually drive once or twice a week, and I try to do everything on a day when I have to be out for something else, like a doc's appointment.
--I try to conserve paper by not printing anything unless absolutely necessary (most information, like flight or hotel confirmation numbers can simply be jotted in a notebook). I generally save interesting information to my hard drive, and read it from my computer. Additionally, if I have to print something, I reuse the paper and either print or make notes later on the other side.
--As our lights burn out, I am replacing them with the fluorescent ones that fit regular bulb sockets, and which use a lot less energy.
--I reuse anything that can be used for another purpose--an example is that empty medication bottles make great storage for small items like beading projects. Also, I am very fond of fountain sodas, like Big Gulps, but I can't keep a big insulated mug from sliding around and spilling in my truck when I am out, so I wash and reuse the cups until they fall apart. Shoe boxes make great storage containers for all sorts of things, and they cost less than the plastic ones you buy at the store!
--I wash nearly all our clothing in cold water, and I hang dry the bulk of it, rather than using the dryer.
--I try to do things which require a lot of energy, like running the dishwasher or washing machine, late at night, when it's not so hard on the power grid.
--It sounds silly, but if I am not going out, I don't blow-dry my hair. I just let it air dry and pull it back in a pony tail (which is frightful, as it's very curly, but who cares what the neighbors think?)
--If we get take-out food, I skip the plastic utensils, and use the stuff we have at home.
--We have a timer on our thermostat so the furnace doesn't run when it isn't needed in the winter. Also, I tend to bundle up rather than bumping the furnace up when it's really cold.
--I pay all my bills online, and request paperless statements from those who offer them. I also contact catalog companies and request that they not send me catalogs (they usually ignore me!), as I know I can reach them on the internet if I want to buy something.
It's a pitiful list, really. I need to figure out what more I can do.

I bought a more fuel efficient car, I recycle at work and at home, I try to keep my electricity & gas usage low, and I fly commercial instead of using my Leer jet. that's a lie. It's a Cessna.

lets see, I recycle,
I attempt to cut energy costs,
I help explain away the myths about neuclear energy. no uranium cannot explode if left alone. it is not explosive. that was a regular graphite fire at chernobyl.
lets see... I pick up garbage...
