Oldish music? How oldish? Personally I would go with a hippy late 60's to early 70's disco theme with the disco balls and psych lites and flower power. Or the Poodle skirts and a Grease theme. Sounds like fun.

I would go for a disco-themed roller-skating party. You can find a local roller rink (yes, they still have them!) and find out if they have group/party admission rates and skate rental fees. Encourage guests to wear "disco" clothes, such as bell-bottoms, Afro wigs, really loud-print shirts with long collars, etc. See if the DJ at the roller rink will play disco tunes the whole time. They usually will play requests. I bet your daughter will love it!!!

You should have "Ninjas vs. Pirates" as the theme.
Have half of the party dress up like ninjas, and the other half like pirates.
Then make them have a royal rumble type brawl while they eat cake and open presents.

60's theme? That would be cool if she likes colours and dancing! Hope she has a brilliant birthday!
