What is the best affordable area to rent an apartment for post-college grads who are looking to keep rent under $600/mo?? Really looking for some sound advice, can anybody help me out?

Brian..I am so sorry to tell you but unless you want to live in the ghetto the only option you have is to share a place with someone.Rent is very expensive here in L.A

Honestly, I do not think you could find housing for $600 a month if you lived in the ghetto, The only suggestion I could give is to have a roommate, but I am not sure this is your ideal situation.

Under $600 a month in LA? LOL! That's rich! You might find it that low somewhere, but I can guarantee that you wouldn't want to live there.
