well im from cleveland and i dont live there any more but im sure reg unleaded gas has to be atleast somewhere around 3 dollars and some change so you just have to figure how much gas expensis will cost and all other variables like if your planning on stopping etc well it looks like gas in columbus is between 2.50 and 2.52 dollars so if you drive then you would have to buy gas from the states you travel through so that should be almost or about a few hundred dollars worth of gas so if i were you i would just take the flight and call it a day plus you will have so much less to worry abt

I live in Columbus, Ohio, too, and I think it may be a bit cheaper to drive, depending on how good of gas mileage your car gets. It would probably cost you around $100 (round-trip) in gas to drive (at $3.00/gallon, and getting around 25 mpg), but then you have to consider wear & tear on your car, etc. I would probably also consider the time it would take to drive vs. the time to fly. It may be that your time would be worth the extra 100 bucks to fly. Would you have to rent a car once you arrived in Rochester? That could be an added expense to consider as well. Hope you have a nice trip!

assuming you get at least 200 miles per tank of gas, youll need 3-4 tanks for the trip. Assuming you pay 40$ to fill up, that would be around 160$ for 4 tanks of gas, that does not include food. If there are multiple people, driving is cheaper, if its just you..its probably about the same.

Fly. I90 in New York is a toll road. The IRS allows a deduction of 48 cents a mile for auto expense deduction. If their average is good, the total expense to use your car would be $356 plus tolls, and driving time each way is about 7 hours.

Much cheaper to drive unless you own a Hummer. Figure out your gas mileage though and that will tell you. It's not a long trip so you can do it in 1 day easily.

Honestly, it will probably be close to the same price. Depending on what you want to do I would fly. This way you will have more time at your destination. Plus, you won't be putting all those miles on your car!
