I found a vid ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FV0PVbhmr28 ) but it doesn't do much with the GIMP I have (2.2 for Windows) I was wondering which GIMP provide the "Text Along Path" under the text tool. Also, any other ways to curve texts?

Any appreciated.

Thanks for the help. Not much I could do with that site. Still looking for best answer, or I'll just leave to voters.

You can use Script Fu -- > Logos ---> Text Circle.

See this article about making posters

that page is about curved text
or start the whole tutorial

Easy to do that way.

You have to either make the font smaller, or make the path longer. Note that there are little markers at the beginning and end of your text that you can drag around to tweak the text on the path a bit more. After the text is on the path, switch to the direct selection tool (white arrow below the type tool icon) and you should be able to drag around the markers to position the text better by using the marker at the beginning of the text. The one at the end will allow you to cut off your text, or show more text. For this one you could have just used the ellipse shape tool instead of creating a path from scratch being that you're only doing an arch with the text and not anything too elaborate with the path/text combination. Hope this helps.
