The best point of view is thried person, He she, thier name. This is a better way to describe the persons feeling and things they dont see.

Example: Johny peered cautiously around the corner of the grimmy brick wall. Seeing that it was safe, he decended into a dark alleyway, pulling his coat tighter around him as a chilly wind blew.

i think the best point of view is as the detective. That way the reader gets all of the same clues and can try to solve the story along with the character.

I think it should flash around to different people, in first person. The Victim, Witness, Detective, Killer, so you can understand everyone, and how they feel.

Third-person is simpler.

3rd person, then you can decide what the readers know and what the characters know
