The distance from the same consecutive part of 2 waves, like crest to crest, is called wavelength.
crest is the top of the wave, trough is the bottom.
Amplitude or height of a wave is measured from the midpoint to the bottom or top.
frequency is waves per second, and period is the time it takes one wave to pass.
