Just once. I think I was like 4 or 5 and my mom had just taken me to get this cute haircut. Then I decided I would go in the bathroom and cut all my bangs off. lol Well, actually, she didn't punish me, she just cried. I never did it again.

The only time I ever recall doing anything to my hair against my parents' wishes was when I was in high school. I remember wanting to dye it, but my mother refused. So I bought the dye on my own and did it when I was away at a summer college-prep program. You know, she actually liked it when she finally saw it?
If I ever cut my hair without thier permission as a child, I believe the punishment they would have given me was to live with it. They wouldn't get my hair fixed. Besides, it's only hair. It grows back. And if it didn't, well, you could have a lot of fun with crazy wigs! =)

No, my brother would get punished at because he was the one watching me most of the time and he would let me do it. Then my brother would try and punish me when my parents weren't home because I got him in trouble. It was kind of like a cycle I guess.

Yup, I couldn't cut my hair 'till I was 18. My older sister cut hers and was grounded for about a year. My parents regreted making us wait though, 'cause now we all keep our hair SHORT!

I never did it without their permission until I was old enough to pay for it myself. They never dictated how I should wear my hair. That is a strange question.

Not for cutting it but for dyeing it. They were SOOO angry!! My mother told me how ugly I looked everyday for a few weeks! I think it's foolish. It was MY hair!!
I did cut my bangs once when I was young and she was mad about that. I don't remember it too much though.

No. My mom wasn't real pleased the first time I lightened my hair, but there were 2 kids before me...my parents were tired by the time I came along. They picked their battles. ;)
