instead of going to college. I think if more women concentrated on their children instead of their career, we would have a lot better society and less rude kids.

I make more money then my kids dad and my kids do better at daycare then at home. So I would say not a lot you can do about it. How about we have men have the babies and they stay home with them

No. I do agree that PARENTS should take better care of their children and teach them right. But that's doesn't mean you should take way the option of having a career instead of family, or having both at one point or another in their lives. I think it's just fine for someone to make up their own mind without influences. Besides, if you thought up new ways to influence a young girl then what? What would that say about the girl? What about all the harm the could come to her from being so influential? I don't think you or anyone else wants

I think the problem is kids aren't getting the education they require. I'm talking about in school, at home, in life. It's a nasty cycle that keeps getting worse. Parents leave it up to the teachers to teach their kids anything. There are too many kids in the classroom so no child is getting the attention they need to learn their lessons. No one is really giving the children real lessons about drug and alcohol use and abuse, sex education, manners, etc. We need to re-educate all of society on what is right and wrong. We need to be firm. We need to be patient and answer all questions honestly, even if we think it's a stupid question. We need to keep an eye on how we speak and act, and keep in mind how we appear to children, and what our own speech and actions teach children, whether we have any or not. We are all responsible for the education of children. If we start to treat each other with the manners and respect we'd expect from children, it would be a great step toward changing them to make our society a better place to live in.

Let's see how about the father's role?? Do they have a role in a child's manner's? Taking into consideration your sexist "rude" questions I bet you do not believe so. There is nothing wrong with a woman deciding that she wants to go to college and have a career and be an excellent mother. Her child is instilled with good values that hard work and determination payoff and women are good role models. Women can also choose to stay at home as well. The point is it is our choice. There should not be campaign's to influence what we decide. A better society would focus on equality between genders not discrimination of the female gender.

Why can't she get married and go to college.

If all these single mommies can work and raise kids and finish their eductions, why wouldn't a married woman with no children?

What's she supposed to do, cook and clean the house, or work a minimum wage job?

Kids need to finish school while they are young. They learn faster, and they have more years at a higher earning potential.

It's just good economics.

Unless he is independently wealthy in which case, I'd like a personal trainer and an inground pool with a lanai and a jacuzzi with awesome lighting. And a little waterfall.

Please.

Perhaps if the fathers concentrated more on their children instead of trying to figure out how to hold women back, then the rude children that you are acquainted with would not be so rude.

As a whole, children are not rude. Stereotyping all children in that manner is detrimental.

Women do not need to be encouraged to stay home or to not stay home. We make up our own minds about what we wish to do.

Well, we also need to encourage boys and men to want a wife and family to take care of. If there were more men who appreciated a stay-at-home wife and mother, then probably more women would gladly do it.

However, I enjoy being a homemaker, but some women just don't like it. Being a mother is a very important job in our society. Too bad it's not highly valued by everyone.

Unfortunately, you are right. Our society now diminishes the importance of having homemakers that take care of children. The generation of women who said "they could have it all" ruined everything for us. However, I still think they should go to college because it can make them more efficient at home finances, cooking, managing children and housework, parenting, and effective communication with her spouse.

So here's the best advice to encourage girls to be housewives: Tell them, "When you go to college make sure to eat lunch outside the medical or law school" LOL ;-)!

I think you're definitely right about our culture being screwed up and we definitely have RUDE kids, but when you have to make money, and the marriage doesn't work, you have to WORK to get paid so you can care for the precious non-rude children! :) Although, it is a very very good fantasy!! I wish it was that simple! :)

Shut Up....I already know what college I want to go to, and I know what career path I am going to follow. Maybe I think boys have cooties and don't want to get married.
