Wow »₳ↄạ∂ὶἄ« made a good point! It really does depend on a person. For example, I'm a Leo and I would love to jump in there and save them but I don't know how to swim.

Great question, but the answer is simple: It sounds stupid. People cannot avoid drowning as it is an accident unless it was suicide but you wouldn't try to kill yourself in a swimming pool anyway becasue they have lifeguards who will save you. Anyways, there is another sign like that which says 'accidents are strictly forbidden on this road.' It sounds silly and nobody can can prevent accidents. Sorry about the rambling-tis what I do.

So that just in case there is an accidental drowning then the owner really can't get sued because the signs were up "warning" ther person before they entered the pool.

NO diving
No running
No bombing
No heavy petting
(what is that one all about )
No spitting
No swimming without a bathing hat
the best was
NO DIVING OF THE DIVING BOARDS

They dont have "no drowning" signs anywhere. It is assumed that people will not want to drown, even if they swim in dangerous places, and if people are in a state of mind where they do want to drown, a sign saying so is hardly going to stop them.

You were trying to be funny and failed miserably.

People would be tempted to do it. Like - if someone says "Don't open the box" All you wan't to do is open the box.
Omg I just burst out laughing when I heard TV Addict's answer. "Don't break your head"? I actually can't stop laughing now beacause of both of the wierd signs.

Well the *no petting* ones don't work so I'm pretty sure the *no drowning* ones would be a total wash out.

There used to be a sign in my swimming bath's years ago, that said 'no heavy petting' that still cracks me up now!

Probably for the same reason there are no 'No getting run over signs' in the Highway Code.
