CC means cubic centimeters. It is a measure of the total volume of fuel/air mixture that engine is capable of drawing into all cylinders during one operating cycle.

Sometimes you will see it measured in cubic inches or liters.

Generally speaking, the more air and fuel an engine takes in during a cycle, the more horsepower the engine will produce.

It is the metric unit of volume cubic centimetre. Medical personnel use it a lot. For engines it denotes the size of the engine. So a 500 cc engine is bigger than a 250 cc engine thus more powerful, more torque, not necessarily more hp so bigger is not necessarily faster.
